Southern Illinois | Yes he "blocker" valve shifts the steering control over to the solenoid valve block. This also blocks any of that oil pressure from going back up to the steering motor. The steering motor still gets supply from the power beyond outlet so when you turn the wheel oil is sent down and into the pressure sensor which then tells the system to disengage and the blocker valve when not powered connects the steering motor to the steering cylinder.
For Deere with closed center steering the idea is mostly the same but there is no reason to use the power beyond. That port could be left plugged with this valve anyway. | |
