NENE | Around here every corn buyer except for maybe a cattle feeder refuses to average grade. I have always felt it was unfair to sell say 20000 bushels and then get docked on a few loads that have a little moisture but get no premium for anything below 15%. Then it seems the dockage varies a lot between buyers and IDK how many people even look at that. Is this a widespread practice or more of a "here" thing? I think if everybody would hold their feet to the fire load averaging would happen. I've been on this crusade before with no luck but I get reminded of it occasionally. | |
