My understanding is that a homeowner can remove asbestos siding themselves and take it to the local landfill. If you hire it done, it needs abated and goes to a special landfill. Here it seems all the foreclosure houses are listed real low, and end up going way over asking price, I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what’s happening. Good luck.
