| No personal experience but I can say when my father died my mother was reluctant to join groups like this. I quietly badgered her to as she was just rattling alone at home
My parents had what I would call a total complete marriage. A union of two into one They were always together
She did join and has found other social functions that match her personality and life style
She will never be complete and she feels empty without dad but she has something to do socially and has a purpose for something to look forward to
She is happier in s sense and is once again has hope
