Subject: Buying whole beef

We buy a half or whole beef at a time and get the ribeye at a reasonable cost that way.

I think the last one we bought ended up total cost per pound for all steaks, roasts and hamburger was about the same as if we had bought hamburger at the grocery store.

So we eat steaks for hamburger price some of the time approximately. We rarely buy ribeye from the grocery store. And most beef we buy from the grocery store comes off the discount rack. We are cheap scates.
