The markers, frame tube and lift system are the things that come to mind. If you hang too much weight on the single cylinder lift system the tube would tear at the point where the cylinder attached. The main reason you won't see many with the single disc opener is most people that bought the conventional planter did not want to spend the extra money if they did not plan to no-till.
