Subject: Re: notill soybean

I've planted beans no till a couple times with my 7000 planter. No strong springs either. But I put a straight plow coulter on the front to cut the corn stalks and dawn trash wheels two spread the corn stalks. No ripple coulters anywhere. Had no problems keeping the proper planting depth. I don't think the "notill" wide ripple coulters treat the ground well and so I wouldn't run them and they are probably what requires so much down pressure.
