Plants aren’t really online yet and where the price of diesel is currently will certainly help renewable diesel get its foothold. These comments are likely China rooted. The Chinese hate renewable diesel and it’s largely why they are all of a sudden going away from corn to plant more soybeans and feedings carcasses to their pigs. Gross

These comments are not Chinese “rooted”. If not for the policy of renewable diesel , it wouldn’t be economically viable.

Crude oil is rising on Middle East tensions.. while funds are piling short into expected undersold farmer sales which may.. or may not occur.

Soyoil prices continue to fall narrowing the gap vs Petroleum derived diesel.

Unlike the break in 2014.. which was fueled as OPEC started a price war.. There is no news which points to lower crude prices.

the Middle East, Iranian backing of forces aligned against Israel and Ukraines attacks vs Russian ports.. none of which suggests lower crude prices.

The crushers have margin yet to give up and new plants built to convert vegetable oils are coming online now.

The pieces are already in play.
