I was unsure when I started a little over a year ago. I did 4 wk bills, then after a month, starting doing 8 wk bills. After I got comfortable with how it works, I purchase 13, 17, 26, and 52 wk bills.
If it's a new treasury purchase, you can cancel your order anytime before the auction. If it's a reinvestment and you want to cancel it, it has to be canceled 5 (I think) days before the auction date.
As others have said, set up account now and put in what you want to purchase.
Those auction times are Eastern time zone, so it would be 10am in Iowa.
