Totally agree. Problem is there are no local banks with true bankers. Everything is a chain of banks or soon to be.
I have one and he is about ready to retire but they have had a young man riding shotgun with him for the last year and a half to learn the ropes.
Reality Speaks nailed my FCS experience to a T. When they had numerous errors and discrepancies on our projections and appraisals all they did was try to deflect blame back when I pointed them out.
I don't want to hear about how bad the "local banks" are tipping off others to buy farms when my FCS loan officer told me a neighbor should sell land to cover debt or when he approached a landlord I was renting from to buy his farm without my knowledge. If that's not a conflict of interest I don't know what is. |
