Latimer, Iowa (north central) | Can try and figure out tonight. I do know a ng/g is not very much. I am sure I get exposed to more that that every time I fill the sprayer or clean up the driveway.
It doesn’t really matter on the food consumer side what farmers feel is safe, consumers on the coasts and Europe have a perception and drive the market. The oatmeal’s tested were off the shelf at our local grocery store. If we are indeed “farmers feeding the world”, we have to produce food that consumers want. It’s not a good look to argue that a “little” chemical won’t hurt anyone and it’s fine because we have done it for 50 years. Better to just quietly try and remove all that we can from food.
For the original poster I wouldn’t get too bothered by it but I also wouldn’t get defensive. Not gonna change his mind anymore then you will change his. There is data to back up both sides. |
