so for future use:
1. dont bitch when the elevator closes early at harvest
2. dont bitch about drying charges
3. dont bitch when there is any sort of dock for damage/ FM/ TW (of cource YOU wouldnt have any of that)
4. dont complain about prices
5. dont worry about leaving corn standing in the field over winter

the local elevators are here for us. there is not a business around that wants a pile of corn and sure doesnt want to deal with a mess like this. think about it, why would they want to pay overtime all winter long and deal with this?

Is it their mess. If they would have piled it right they wouldnt have this mess. Piling corn is part of being in the elevator business, when you do it right you dont have issues, if you do it right you can make a lot of money at it. Yes farmers are bitchy about the closing, but in the end they understand. Drying charges are a part of life. If FC wants to take keep taking over every elevator in the state they better start running the ones they have better.
