Subject: Ok what is the real value of this corn??

SE South Dakota
If I'm an ethanol plant, feed yard,or whatever that is an end user of corn of what value is this corn to me?
I don't think I want to drink a can of Pepsi made from that corn.

If I can buy # 2 yellow corn at the current market price, how much is this "corn" worth?

There is a sizable loss here and we need to keep checking our corn bins to not let any spoilable happen that hasn't already. This year is a bugger. The centers of our bins need watching the most. I know the extra fines and dumping hot corn in storage bins is a real risk this year over most years. The centers had a slow cooldown, if at all. Also I fear that people are going to get hurt or worse working inside bins this year trying to dislodge bridged grain, plugged sumps, etc. Lets not let this happen to ourselves. Rant over!

Nearby elevator let spoilage like this happen several years ago and speaking with the merchant that still work there it was quite debiliating to say the least. It took well into the 2nd crop year after this to blend it all off.
