I bought calves around $2 last fall at 625 so $1250 per hd, they will go out at 1350 or so which is $0.90 a lb for the $$/kill wt. and I've been able to sell around double that, running the same scenario now at $2.65 is about $1.20 $$/kill wt. and double that is $2.40.. Wow! Now this assumes many things most of which that feed costs will remain the same but wow that's risky!
