No experience with an AFS Connect Steiger but I set up an 18 580 quad a couple years ago and it works well. Install is super easy. I feel like I struggled with an initial setting or something when getting it to connect the first time but don't remember anymore. No answer on sending signal to the Pro 1200 though. I'd assume it's possible.
