NC Kansas | Lots of winter wheat acres getting abandoned/destroyed in NC Kansas right now. I'm keeping some that's questionable from a dollars and cents standpoint but I have contracts to fill, seed wheat I've invested in for next year, I value my rotation and not totally blowing that up... which relates to keeping wheat stubble for next year's corn crop and workload management.
But yeah another big rain event that fizzled this week will continue to hurt what's left. It's a darn good thing we are abnormally cool to finish April, or it may bring more wheat acres to an early demise. oh and the board is allllllll red today. | |
