You're running the truck auger too fast. Slow it down till it buries the auger and the corn will fall on corn cushioning it. Auger will last a little longer when you run it full too.

If you're electric and can't slow it down without changing pulleys; cut the bottom out of a 5 gallon bucket, make a couple half moon notches in the top perpendicular to the handle holes, and strap it to your takeout auger with a heavy bungee cord through the handle holes. Making a spout to direct the grain further down into the hopper makes a big difference.
