Subject: Now they’re coming after paraquat

Now they’re coming after paraquat. I got a letter today from a Nebraska law firm soliciting clients for a lawsuit against the makers of paraquat/ gramoxone. Apparently someone is alleging “a causal connection between paraquat and Parkinson’s disease. It also mentioned that the Michael Fox foundation is pushing for a ban on paraquat. Has anyone else heard of this? What impact would losing paraquat have on your farm? Historically we have not used it till a couple years ago we started rotating it in our chem fallow weed control program. With increasing weed resistance to glyphosate and dicamba I see paraquat playing an ever larger role in the future. If we keep losing chemistry we may all be forced into tillage/organic whether we want to or not. Time to relearn farming practices??
