Subject: Building material prices vs interest rates. Build or wait?

Ludington/Manistee MI area
Posted this in machinery talk but wondering if this hits a different crowd.

Was planning to build a 40x64 maybe 72 shop. The run up in the cost of building supplies has me gun shy. In the big picture of the project IF the bubble pops on these crazy prices by then will interest rates be so high that it offsets what is saved by the return to normal prices? Or are these the new normal prices? I could be creative and kick the can down the road a bit. My current shop is adequate roughly 85% of the time what I really need is storage. Original plan was to build a shop that as long as it has a few things in it either being repaired or in storage it would meet my needs.
