Chariton Iowa | Just curious on how others figure feed value in a rising corn market. Put corn in harvestores back in sep at about 24% it is cracked and fermented. I suppose it was probably $3.10ish at that time. as I am buying more calves is it $3 corn or $5 corn? Had a guy tell me once to figure what it would be docked if I took it to the elevator, I don't like that but see his point.
Not sure a right or wrong answer, I just wondered how others think it through. | |
