Subject: RE: Home raised corn

Alberta
To me its worth what the market is today. I price my silage on what it would have yielded if I had harvested that crop and sold it in the grain market or what that silage is worth in the yard, wherever there is more profit to be made. I raise or lower my ration costs on homegrown inputs through the year. That's said, if you contracted corn at 2 bucks a bushel in July, your cost is still 2 bucks a bushel.
