Subject: Cenex maxtron 5w40 vs deere plus 50 II 5W40 / 0W40

Northeast Nebraska
Cenex 5w40 full synthetic is $23/gal in 2.5gal
Deere 0w40 full synthetic is $39/gal in 2.5gal

The pds specs look almost identical, cenex actually has a higher viscosity index and tbn and heavier at operating temp. I've been told that deere is a pao group 4 oil where the cenex is a group 3 hydrocracked, but both claim to be full synthetic and the specs are very similar. Will the group 4 deere provide better/longer service? Below are the pds sheets. Oil used in 2011 steiger with 8.9 cummins with egr only. Changing every 300-400 hrs.
