Subject: 10-34-0 Does it work? (help with starter)

Trying to plan my "Ideal" corn blend for next year. I will be new to 2x2 and have never handled 10-34-0 I have read it differs greatly in quality from clear being the best to green (full of heavy metals?) and black (worthless?). Any opinions on this? anyone out there have black 10-34-0 and think it works just fine? I have read a lot about it making sludge in the tank. I would be using it as soon as purchased, not much storage time. Should I just spread more 18-46-0 and ditch the 10-34? Going to ask the co-op tomorrow what theirs looks like.

My other question is my "Ideal" starter that Im going to try on at least a few acres 2x2 would be 10 gal of 28-0-0-5 and 10 gal 10-34-0 and quart of 9% EDTA zinc, and probably save some room for sugar/humic/fulvic/etc. to try. Any thoughts? will that all even mix? Am I asking for trouble with any of it?
