Subject: Paying Large Fines

Oklahoma
News and link below all referenced illegal fireworks with fines up to $50,000. If a person is living paycheck to paycheck, then what? Garnish wages assuming they have a job?

Semi local issue a few weeks ago had a young veteran investigated by FBI/ATF and gets a "$250,000 fine". Don't think he had a job other than video's and probably selling arms which he can't do anymore. Got me to thinking about what does a person like that do to pay that off? Or do they?

Same goes for farmers. Always hear stories of "fines" from XYZ agency to a farmer for whatever violation. Bankruptcy for some and probably refinance for others maybe because they have actual assets. Just curious as the fireworks thing got me to thinking about how they try to scare everyone with fines but what really comes of it when they try to make an example.
