mn | That is a great topic! It's really hard to pick a "top band or group from that era in music! The mid 60s thru the 80s was probably the best rock and roll music ever put out! You can't even begin to remember the best of the best, until someone starts a topic like this!! Tesla, Dio, Jimmy Hendricks, Cinderella, the Doors, and the list goes on and on!! When you think you have picked the number 1 band,or group, or even top 10, another one that has been forgotten has been brought up!! I was fortunate to grow up in that time frame of what maybe the greatest music ever put out and still lives on! At 62, it is still all that I listen to! Clay brought up a great point, it's more about the mood and what is going on at the time, that really makes them great! The local radio station I listen to, KQRS out of mpls, St Paul, plays the top 500 most requested songs on memorial and labor day weekend! You get a lot of forgotten and "one hit wonders" that you may have forgot about! | |
