South Central IN | We’ve dabbled in grain sorghum a few years, typically as a double crop or after flooded out corn. This year I planted a 118 day Pioneer number on my sandier areas instead of corn in May as a first crop. There doesn’t seem to be the info on pushing sorghum yields like there is for corn. If you have experience in this area, what are you suggestions? I’m thinking a foliar fungicide pre-boot and late season N might help. What else has panned out?
I’ve got:
Pioneer 84P68
15 inch rows at 78K
Full tillage
130 units of N so far
Thanks in advance for the help!
