Subject: Carry in corn

Boone Co. Iowa
I have yet to market any 2020 corn or beans. Usually get a lot of corn priced via hta contracts in June every year. I don’t like the price.

Dec 20 is at $3.42
Dec 21 is at $3.74.

Kst1 earlier noted we hit $3.50 dec 20 corn. I am also wondering if that could be high for the year. I don’t see why the dec 20 contract doesn’t head to $2.80 or $2.60. Driving is picking up a little and local ethanol plant running after closing for a few months. But Covid cases increasing lately (past few days) and it could really pick up this fall. Lots of unknowns about strength of economy. Corn in Iowa looks really good.

Just wondering what price targets or orders folks might have working on Dec corn. National numbers have U.S. corn crop mostly planted and mostly looking pretty good. 20 days from July 1st. Not seeing why corn should rally much more.
