I'm trying to change my phone system over to a cloud based PBX through my internet connection and ditch my analog lines. I tried to port the numbers today and the response from the SIP providers was that our local city code was private and they couldn't be ported.
Is this just windstream being jerks or is it do they not have to give up the numbers?
