So, Google search stats are the new way to determine world-wide popularity of languages.

That list may be of interest to folks that want to learn to program computers. Learning how to program with the most popular language is a good way to avoid becoming obsolete before your time is up. In other words it may be the best way to invest your time and mental effort assets in learning to program. Time is the one, and probably only, asset that will end for us all.
