I'm trying to repair a laptop computer for a friend. They couldn't access the Internet. It connects wirelessly now but about 1/3 to 1/2 the speed when of when it's connected with Ethernet. (WINDOWS 10) Toshiba
I tried it with another wireless adapter in a USB port and the result was the same. I tried that adapter in another computer and the speed was equal to the Ethernet on that computer.
To summarize; Ethernet on the laptop speed is equal to all my computers. Wireless speed with either the built in wireless or an external adapter is 1/2 to 1/3 the speed of my normal Internet speed.
A check of the adapter on my computer yields the same results as Ethernet on my computer.
