SE SD | Just curious what the advantage is to having seed boxes on Deere CCS planters? Most have just the little mini hopper on each row, but then you'll see a few with the boxes just like a regular planter. Is it for weight distribution? Test plot planting? Do they fill all the way up instead of having just enough seed to meter like a mini hopper? My CCS planter has just the mini-hoppers, & I've always wondered why some folks put regular boxes on. | |
