| I made the mistake of buying a semi that after further inspection has a frame that’s not safe to be used. It has holes in it and basically everything that doesn’t have a hole in it is pretty dang close. A cutoff isn’t a viable option because the frame north of the cutoff point is bad too and there are several things on the verge of death around the motor too. It is my mistake that we bought such a pile of a semi. I feel bad. But we still have to decide what to do. It has 10 virgin tires that are new on it that I know I could sell for $3500 at least and there’s a place that will give $1000 for the rest of it after I rob the rims and tires. That seems like a pretty good escape route to me, are there any other options I’m missing? The truck is a 2004 Volvo day can with a D12 motor at 365hp and a 10speed Eaton. Truck has a million miles and both rear ends are very close to rusting through. So besides learning my lesson to inspect closer before buying what should I do? | |
