Subject: Corn in dairy ration

SW MINNESOTA
Curious how much grain corn is used in a dairy ration? I custom pump manure and rely on a few 300-500 cow dairy farms as my core customers and I know how they are struggling with 3.50 corn. Most of them currently have little if any corn planted and I know they will plant silage corn for a long time yet if need be. So my main question is how much corn would have to be bought to add to low grain yielding silage. If they haven’t locked in any lower priced corn how bad will 5.00 or whatever corn bite?

Edit — what can be fed instead of corn and still get decent milk production?
