north central iowa | I purchased the Late Plant Option with my crop insurance. It cost 75 cents per acre and gave a producer 10 more days to get the respective crops planted before the insurance starts to decline.
With very little tillage and fertilizer done last fall combined with the extremely wet conditions this late winter and early spring I don't know why more producers did not look at this option.
Don't we as producers have the responsibility to take advantage of the tools at our disposal? | |
