| I know today's announcement was intentionally wishy-washy on details, but how exactly does a county that plants corn, beans, and milo go about calculating the estimated trade damage from tariffs, and then mix in planted acres, to come up with a single payment rate in a way that is fair to growers of all these crops? And who will be the team that decides how much damage was done to the market? Am I missing something? If corn was unfairly paid at a low rate last year, does that mean that this year it will be higher, but at the expense of beans averaged in to achieve a single payment? | |
