Trying to change from Sp1 to Sp2 on 440. Added ez guide 250 and cable to get speed.

Per the manual, I held the Self test button down for 30 sec, to get to the mode of change. But it never stops it just keeps revolving from Sp1 to us unit to c-Std setting. I can hold it for minutes and still the same. It won't stop on any of those options.

Am i doing something wrong?

It is a revision B model, so I'm not sure if it is too old to have a SP2 option or not.

Is there something wrong with the unit, that I'm going to have to send in and have repaired?

Another question. This 440 is the kind that mounts in the dash of my spra coupe, I have another 440 that is the standard with 3 booms switches on it. If I need to get the first one repaired or get another. Can I use it temporary in place of the original one?
