Subject: Oats, again

Mid MO
I can get bin run oats locally for $8.25/50#.
Planning to plant 30 ac, IF the weather cooperates. Oats are iffy to get planted here.
My plan is to rotationally graze them. Not looking to bale or combine. When they blow up, I'll no till sudex in them. I will be using a great plains drill for both oats and sudex.
I like the idea of getting the bin run, because I can wait till the last minute when I'm more certain that conditions will be favorable.
However, my concern is that, due to being tight/ignorant, I'll get a poor stand and I'd be better off ordering oats from a seed company and gambling on the weather.

What do y'all think?

Thought about getting a bag and testing the germ myself with a paper towel and ziplock bag. Is it worth it?
