Monroe City, MO | Anybody know what is in the polish that you apply last on the plastic headlight restoration kit from 3M? The first three steps involve 500, 1000 and 3000 grit sandpaper. The 3000 is done wet. Then you buff on the "polish" which 3M actually calls rubbing compound. Has anyone ever just sanded with paper then polished with something like turtle wax or rubbing compound? I bought the kit quite a while ago and IIRC it was fairly expensive.
