Subject: Soybean basis

SW Ohio
Ok, so I know we don't have it near as bad as a lot of folks north and west of here, but what is going on with the bean basis on the Ohio River? More specifically Cincinnati terminals? -$0.50 today, in an area where this time of year we usually range from -$0.10 to +$0.10 on any given year. I have bills to pay, and have HTA's in place at good levels, but the basis just kills it for me. I do have the option of Cargill in Sidney, but its 20 miles further away, and only $0.11 better bid. For my time hauling and the added mileage I am thinking it needs to be $0.20-$0.25 better to make it worth it, am I wrong? What event needs to happen to make the basis better?
