West Central IA | I'm thinking I should replace the clutch in my 2000 Cummins this winter. (5sp 4x4) It seems fine with no load, but put a trailer on and it seems a little weak and will shudder some on engagement, especially in reverse for some reason. Original clutch, 140,000 miles.
Biggest thing I want is a clutch that is quiet and smooth like stock. Truck only has edge juice with attitude, I rarely run any setting but 1 or 2. I have no plans to add any power so I'm not needing a super heavy duty clutch. Honestly a stock clutch would suit me unless there is something better for the money. Any suggestions?
I plan to do the rear main seal while I'm there since it seeps. I suppose I should address the 5th gear nut while the trans is out too...
