This is about using an SD100 bluetooth adapter and powering it with system voltage of 14-15 volts which exceeded the recommended input voltage of 12V. Did this work out OK? Or are there a lot better options now, maybe like this one from a post here the other day for $38.99. Or should I just go ahead and try the SD100 I already have?
"The bluetooth module had old firmware on it when it arrived, so I had to update that and configure it to accept bluetooth connections."
Is it necessary to update the firmware or will it work OK with whatever is on it for firmware? And what do you mean by "configure it to accept bluetooth connections?" I thought bluetooth connections was what these things did.:)
I did find the SD100/200 user guide online so hopefully that will help me get it setup if I do go ahead and use it.
When I go to the web address below and search the support I can not find any mention of the SD100. Maybe it is just too old. And I have not found any updated firmware either.
