Centre county Pennsylvania, USA | One (of many) interactive internet calculators shows that the US stock market (S&P 500) has an inflation (CPI) adjusted, no dividend reinvested, return for the most recent 48 year period of 376%. That same calculator shows that reinvesting dividends increased that return to 1722% for the same period. See attached screen shot.
