Problem: Hydraulic fluid is moving from the main engine gear case to the main hydraulic reservoir. About 1 gallon moves in 5 hours operation.
Solution: On NAT and dealer's recommendation, I replaced the back two pumps on the stack with new. DIDN'T CHANGE A THING.
So...what is my "Plan B?" Any and all suggestions appreciated. Where else on the combine is the fluid from these two reservoirs separated by a single seal or O-ring?
This isn't an machine-down type emergency; I can keep running and topping off the gear case daily and draining the reservoir occasionally. But it needs to be fixed.
I have a feeling it's a two-bit o-ring or seal somewhere, and I don't need another $1500 shot in the dark.
