southern MN | Well, that Bristol race that took 2 days and 5, 6 red flags to complete?
Probably one of the best races of NASCAR in the past handful of years.
Ended up very few cars on the lead lap, but typical short track racing of old, some wrecks, some cars came back from several laps down to be in the lead pack, lots of passing, lots of congestion. Lots of strategy. All the best parts.
Too bad the weather made it such a mess no one saw it.
Takes a dedicated fan to sit in those stands for two days in that wet and cold on an aluminum bench..... and only a few of us could keep up that tv schedule to watch most of the laps.
Sunday was so rainy most thought it wouldn't run at all, thry got in 1/3 of the race between many rain stops. Today they had several delays for snow flurries, but got it all in.
I hope their fall race is as exciting, with nice weather to boot.
