Subject: 4450 batteries drain easy

IL
I put new set of Interstate batteries in the 4450 this winter. The last couple times I have started it, the dash gauge shows a higher than normal charge. With a multimeter, the batteries are are right at 12V. When running, the alternator is putting out 14.5v +/-. But I would try to start it again, it would turn over slower ( if it hadn't ran a long time to recharge.) Planning on pulling the starter to have it checked for amp draw. guess I wanted to check others thoughts if maybe I should look in a different direction.

btw, after getting the injectors checked out ( all good), got it back together using the special socket ( helped a bunch)... I got it fired up again today.
