Subject: Piston pump on JD7000 16 row

Southeast SD
Guys - we are putting a Lil Thumper piston pump on our 16 row JD front fold planter to put on our starter fertilizer. I want to drive it off a jack shaft coming from the main drive shaft on the RH wing. Has anyone ever done this? If so, what sprocket combination did you use? Any pictures would be great. Where did you put the wilger manifolds? Thinking of putting an 8 row set on each wing and distributing from there. We have Keaton firmers that we are putting the liquid down with now and using squeeze pumps. Thinking this will help de-clutter the planter and be a better system than the squeeze pumps that always seem to be leaking or blowing hoses or not working or whatever.

Thanks in advance guys!!

Chris
