Subject: John Deere 4400 cracking corn problem

The corns around 18.5% moisture . I have cylinder running as slow as I can . Concave opened up just so it shells the kernels off the cob . Some of the ears are variable in size it’s my neighbors corn . Can’t get it to stop cracking it I know it’s doing it at the cylinder . It has to be cause the fan can blow some little cracks out . I mean it’s not all cracked but I think you should be able to make it better than what it is . ? I was told by a neighbor that gleaners you have to take some rasp bars off to make it she’ll corn . Is this the case with the John Deere’s .
