Huntington, IN | Here's the scenario. We currently run a JD 9410 with an original brown box display with mapping capabilities. We use said maps for fertilizer and planting recommendations. The last couple of years there has been missing data on some maps. When we got the combine out last week the display was dark. I borrowed a newer brown box from a neighbor and it fired right up. Knowing we've had troubles should we give the green star another run this fall or upgrade? Our planter is set up with 20/20 and Fieldview so our first choice would be to switch to Yieldsense. So the question is do we drop $5,000 into a new system or cross our fingers the old one will keep working? The combine will be around for a while yet so not an issue to put money into it. Just trying to justify the cost. | |
