Indiana | I recently discovered white mold in one of my fields. This is one of the worst areas of the field but dead plants are currently showing up sprinkled throughout the entire field. I have never had issues with white mold in past so was hoping to get a little insight on what to expect. How fast will it spread to other parts of the field ? How much yield loss should I expect?
We had wet June and July
Plant mid may
3.0 bean
Irrigated ( have put on an inch twice) but mold outside pivot as well
135k planted population
Sandy soils
Received 2.5 inches of rain in last 4 days
Beans currently at R5
Yield goal is / was? 70+
My beans 1 mile down road show no signs of white mold
Some green plants also showing signs of infestation.
