Subject: Question on splitting nitrogen application for corn

SE NE
if the weather cooperates we will apply 160 lb of N in the fall and none in the spring or pre plant for nitrogen. We run 100-150 lb of P, 15 lb of S, and 5 lb of Zn with the dry spreader over the winter. I was thinking about putting 120 or so lb of N with the NH3 machine in the fall and using liquid N with the corn pre's in the spring for a hotter burn down and to split the N application up. Does anyone do a program similar to this? Should I use 10 or 15 GPA for the pre if I did this? Thanks
